Song calls

Massive Attack's Protection would be *such* a good Tsuzuki/Hisoka song, if only I could find a remix of it that didn't have the "You're a boy and I'm a girl" line. But come on! The chorus is "I stand in front of you / I take the force of the blow"! Tell me that doesn't say Tsuzuki/Hisoka to you. Obviously it does to me, and the really ironic thing is that I didn't find this song until after I wrote that drabble.

So, if anyone has such a remix, or even knows of one, I'd appreciate it.

But what I'd really appreciate is all your Tsuzuki/Hisoka songs. [livejournal.com profile] yasminm and I grabbed the pairing for [livejournal.com profile] fst this month, and I want to know what songs everyone else uses for them. And possibly also increase my own Tsusoka playlist, because it's not like it's already several hours long or anything.

Sneaker Pimps - Half Life
Maybe?

I don't know, I'm more likely to find songs that strike me as Muraki/Oriya than Hisoka/Tsuzuki, because Muriya is my OTP (because I'm a SICK CRAZY SADISTIC PERSON)

Okay, and also "The Fine Art of Falling Apart," "Fearless," which has those pesky pronouns going on but I just tune them out, "Gravity" by Vienna Teng, "Momentum" by Vienna Teng, "Weak and Powerless" by A Perfect Circle (Hisoka drawing parallels between Tsuzuki and Muraki), "Uninvited" by Alanis Morrissette, "Waiting in Vain" as performed by Annie Lennox (always makes me think of Tsuzuki contemplating Hisoka), "Where Are You Going" by Dave Matthews Band, "Wasting My Time" by Default, "Here With Me" by Dido, "Ya Gotta Be Stronger" by Des'ree, "Deep As You Go" by October Project, "Come Talk to Me" by Peter Gabriel, "Beautiful" by Portishead, "Hanging By a Moment" by Lifehouse, "Do What You Have to Do" by Sarah McLachlan, "Heaven Coming Down" by The Tea Party, "One" by U2.

Those are all just from a quick passthrough of my mp3 collection. Music is my madness.

On the Vienna Teng front, Momentum is love, but Gravity got claimed by someone else here in me-land, and Eric's Song is THE Hisoka/Tsuzuki song; I need no others after that, really. Which is kind of a shame, because I used to have a mile-long list. ;) Well, and there's April, by onelinedrawing, which not coincidentally is another thing that [livejournal.com profile] ciceqi threw at me.

*grins* Feel free! You can't have too many good songs, even if we don't end up using them all.

Oh, good call. And I like the Sneaker Pimps, so cool.

Hee, well, you should have done a fst for them! I know [livejournal.com profile] windschaser is doing Muraki/Tsuzuki, but I think that the only other Yami one anybody's claimed.

Oooo, thank you! Hooray for for good songs- and a few of these are ones I've been using, too- the Vienna Teng and Uninvited in particular. Obviously we have similiar taste. *grins*

But, oh, I've been meaning to ask you- I downloaded a bunch of Matthew Good songs after you rec'd the group for the Tsuzuki fst, and I adore them. I want to buy a CD, but I can't decide which to get, since my favorite songs are all on seperate ones. Which would you reccommend?

I adore Eric's Song too, and April is my ultimate Hisoka-to-Tsuzuki song. I even had a previous LJ layout designed around the lyrics. I think I heard about both of them from you, actually.

I don't know "Eric's Song." "Gravity" is actually one of my Hisoka/Tsuzuki/Tatsumi themes, but it also works for just Hisoka/Tsuzuki. "April" is a good one, but I knew Brigdh had that one already. *G*

I seem to recall you asked for Hisoka songs previously, or maybe it was someone else, and then someone else asked for Tsuzuki songs, and I'm pretty sure at some point someone wanted Hisoka/Tsuzuki songs, so you might have run across my suggestions before. *G*

I don't own any of the MGB CDs yet for exactly that reason. *laughs* However, my mad crazy multi-fannish love for "Weapon" means the next time I pick up a CD, it is likely to be the one with that song on it. I'd recommend that one, I think.

Vienna Teng - Eric's Song (http://s29.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2GKHBVT0KXJWD016LCL5S7I41T), if you want. *grins* It's got some great Tsuzuki/Hisoka lines:
And of course I forgive,
you've seen how I live,
I've got darkness and fears to appease.
My voices and analogies,
ambitions like ribbons
worn bright on my sleeve.

But really, all of Vienna Teng is such angsty romance, you could make it work for nearly any couple you wanted it to.

Too bad you're not doing Tatsumi/Tsuzuki. Song Against Sex always reminded me of them. Mostly of Tsuzumi, but hey, I can cheat.

Vienna is marvelous for the fannish soundtrack. And I downloaded "Eric's Song," which is utterly gorgeous.

From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
Ha, it's funny you say that, because to me 'Song Against Sex' is a Tsuzuki/Hisoka song.

But hey, you could do a Tatsumi/Tsuzuki one! *temptstempts*

XD;; I always thought Song Against Sex was a little too hopeless for Tsu/Hi, but it's a GREAT song, really.

:P I've already done a Tatsumi one, I just need to upload it to my LJ. I'd really love to do a Muraki one, though. Or maybe I'll do an FST of singles, one song for each char. *ponder, ponder* It's an idea, at the least.

From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
Tatsumi fst? Post, post! Do the Muraki one too, and the singles!

Obviously I just want lots of music from you. *grins* Someone did volunteer to do a Muraki/Tsuzuki one, though, so that'll be all kinds of cool.

From: [identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com
Ah, I believe that would be Katie? XD Dude, Katie rocks me so hardcore, if you'll excuse my lamespeak. But I really do love the girl. I don't know if she's who you mean, but I know she wanted to do a M/T FST.

Problem with the singles is, two of the songs I'd want to do, the Nagare one and the Tsuzuki one, are by the same band. XD But we'll see. I REALLY want to do Posed to Death by The Faint for Muraki, if I do choose that. Like I said, we'll see. I may just write up the list of singles and ditch the Tatsumi FST, since it's not all that great in itself.

Date: 2005-02-16 03:37 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
Nah, it's [livejournal.com profile] windschaser. I mean, Katie might be doing one for herself, but windschaser is the one who volunteered for the [livejournal.com profile] fst community.

Hmmm, that is a problem. But I suppose you could use two from the same group, if the songs worked really well and you only did it once. But I want to know what song you picked for Nagare! I've only ever made one song call for him, and that's really more Hisoka's-perception-of-him than it is him, so it might not count.

From: [identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com
You'll see. XP I actually started and nearly finished the list, I just need Saya and Yuma and Hijiri.

Meanie! :p

Oh. Those are hard characters. I don't have any suggestions, sorry.

From: [identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com
Oh, Saya and Yuma are easy, and I'll probably just be cheap and do something violin-heavy for Hijiri. XD I'm proud, though - I even got a song for Watson. And Hakushaku's song is probably the best.

Date: 2005-02-16 05:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wordsofastory.livejournal.com
Hee, I have a Watson song, too! I wonder if we've got the same one...

Now I'm all curious! Hurry up and post! XD

From: [identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com
Why, what did you get for Watson? XD;;

And I am so not posting until:

a) I have all my songs.
b) I have all my songs UPLOADED to yousendit.com. =/

Who By Fire, which is orginally by... um. Led Zepellin, maybe? Some group like that, anyway. But I have a really neat remix of it by Coil.

And awww. *is impatient*

From: [identity profile] catiechu.livejournal.com
Ah. XD;; I'm not telling my Watson song, because I want it to be fun.

:X Damnit, stop tempting me to give away songs! You're the only one I know if with GOOD TASTE thus far, and I don't want the only one that might appreciate my FST to know all the songs ahead of time. XD
