I feel better! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *bounces all over*

However, I've now infected every one else in the house with my disease, and they're all throwing up and no one wants to play with me. Therefore: meme!

Lyrics from the first twenty songs that come up on random play:

1. And someone is calling my name / From the back of the restaurant

2. I see y'all sitting around / But we ain't gonna have none of that this evening, child

3. If you see me crying, start lying / I'm the one you love

4. And you realize all at once: you have carried your scars this far

5. The fragile keep secrets, gathered in pockets / They will sell them for nothing, a cheap watch or locket

6. Now we're thinking a secret we're never gonna tell

7. I knew I never should have been a musician

8. Little white flowers will never awaken you Billie Holiday, Gloomy Sunday. [livejournal.com profile] matsuei

9. I'm eating all your kings and queens / All your sex and your diamonds David Usher, Black Black Heart. [livejournal.com profile] yasminm and [livejournal.com profile] childofatlantis

10. No one should brave the underworld alone Poe, Hello. [livejournal.com profile] windschaser

11. I used to sit and watch the pouring rain

12. We been living in hovels / Spending all our money on / Brand new novels Moxy Fruvous, My Baby Loves a Bunch of Authors. [livejournal.com profile] lucifrix

13. I made a pilgrimage to save this human race / Yes, I did Nouvelle Vague, I Melt with You. [livejournal.com profile] vissy

14. We hope you choke

15. There are certain things I promised not to let you know

16. People say I'm lazy, dreamin' my life away John Lennon, Watching the Wheels. [livejournal.com profile] rinoared

17. Is it gone? Tell me what went wrong? / 'Cause, baby, I'm not that strong Tea Party, Walking Wounded. [livejournal.com profile] lyssiebaby

18. I am spitting out all of my bitterness / Along with half of my last drink Suzanne Vega, Knight Moves. [livejournal.com profile] rinoared

19. He's got everything that I desire / Sets the summer sun on fire Go Gos, I Want Candy. [livejournal.com profile] matsuei

20. I send this smile over to you Smashing Pumpkins, Disarm. [livejournal.com profile] esrafil

Of course, there's other things I really should be doing instead of this. Such as answering comments. Or working on the [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story I wrote in a craze in about five hours this afternoon. But I seem to have the attention span of a gnat, so... music, yay!

8) Gloomy Sunday, which has been covered by everyone on earth.

19) I Want Candy... probably Bow Wow Wow or Mandy Moore, since Good Charlotte swapped the gender.

Right!

Gloomy Sunday happened to be the Billie Holiday version, although I currently have 16 different covers of it on my desktop. I'm hoping to induce suicide in passing strangers. Okay, not really, I was searching out different versions so I could use it on the Tsuzuki soundtrack.

And I Want Candy's a really bouncy version by the Go Gos.

Yep! It's actually a cover of it, but since the words don't change there's no way you could know.

It's a very pretty version by Nouvelle Vague which [livejournal.com profile] yasminm rec'd to me and I just adore.

#9 is David Usher's "Black Black Heart", I think. Some of the others sound maddeningly familiar, but remembering lyrics have never been my strong point. ^^

#10 is Poe's Hello, right?

Wah. We've been talking about music so much of late that I feel like I should know more than one...

Right! And that song would make the perfect Muraki/Tsuzuki King-of-Swords-Arc vid. I weep that no one's done it yet.

Yep! It's kinda funny- people are getting the ones I thought no one would know, and the ones that I thought were really easy, no one's guessed yet. ^^
