I am so sick. I don't think I've ever been this sick in my life.

And it happened so quickly: Friday night I was fine. I took advantage of some Christmas sales to go out shopping till midnight, and then came home, watched TV and answered comments, and went to bed. I woke up Saturday at 10 in serious pain to discover that doing anything- sitting up, curling on my side- except lying absolutely flat on my back induced vomiting. I can't eat. I can't stand for extended amounts of time. I can't concentrate on anything.

Wah. No fair, being sick at Christmastime.

Really glad you're feeling better! ^_^

And getting a home visit from a doctor is fairly difficult here, but it can be done when the patient is too ill to visit the surgery. You just phone up and get added to the list of people needing home visits and hope that the doctor gets round to seeing you. Children, the elderly and the most urgent cases are obviously prioritized.

The UK National Health Service has its problems, but I'm ever so glad that we've got it!

That's pretty cool. I don't know of anyone here who gets home visits, unless they're rich enough to pay for their own private doctor. Not that I know anyone like that, but celebrities and such do seem to get those privileges. No, the closest an average person comes is calling for an ambulance, and that's not really the same at all.

And yeah! It seems better than ours.
