brigdhIn the continuing CD burner news: The burner turns on. Makes normal little humming noise. Opens and shuts fine. But when I put a CD in and try to shut it, the door opens right back up. As far as I can tell, there's nothing in the way, nothing stuck, nothing keeping it open... it closes fine when it's empty! But sit a CD in the tray and nooo. Now it must open over and over again.

Also, it turns out that the CD that exploded was my Japanese CD. Which I did not notice last night. This means that I have to go to the campus bookstores sometime today and hope they have another copy, even though there's less than two weeks in the quarter, and buy it. Because there's nothing as fun as paying for school supplies twice.
I'm typing this in my Stats lab, because it's either update LJ or pay attention. I am sure my TA hates me. And I so deserve it. You know, normally I think of myself as a nice person, but in this class I turn into the sullen hostile resentful child who sits in the back of class and glowers and still gets all the answers right, which I'm sure is more annoying than anything. I loathe taking weeks and weeks to be taught incredibly simplistic things, and then being patronized when, hello, I could solve x+3=10 when I was 12. And then the TA gets it wrong and I or one of the other students has to solve the problem for her.

I am so bad.
And now I must go, because we've been handed out a fun busywork sheet, so I will finish retyping this later.
