Everyone! Please go to this blog, look at the poll in the upper right corner, and vote for Miyazaki Hayao. Or, you know, you can vote for whoever you want. But I quite adore this blog, and currently Alan Pakula is winning, and I don't want to read a ton of posts about some director I've never heard of. So, help me out!

Originally I wanted Spike Lee to win, but he is trailing back in fourth place. While Miyazaki is in second, and I have seen most of his movies.

Also I recommend the blog in general, since it has awesome movie reviews.

ETA: Uh, given that Miyzaki's vote has increased by more than half of what it had managed to get in the previous three weeks of voting, and is well ahead of all competitors, I think I feel a little guilty about overwhelming the poll to such an extent! So, you can stop voting now. Or vote for your own choice, instead of following my demands (Mwahahahaha!). Though thank you, everyone who helped!

Dude, awesome. I am way pleased with my flist, for getting more votes in an hour than there is usually in days, as well as allowing me to totally manipulate websites for my benefit. *grins*

Done (would it help if I said that Pakula directed All the President's Men? Never mind; I voted for Miyazaki.)

Ding!

And now he's currently in the lead by about 20 votes I think?

Though I would also be interested in Almodóvar, but I don't think he'll win and besides, Miyazaki is a favorite.

I voted! But he seems to be tied with the Pakula guy now.

Also, I think my friend and I (Laura, she was with us when we got holes poked in us that one time) are going to be getting in the early afternoon-ish on Tuesday. Lunch or something still good? :)

I saw! Clearly someone is competing with me in attempting to corral votes for the blog, because Pakula has over 50 more votes than he did yesterday. Hmmm. I will have to plot how to win this battle. ;)

And that sounds good! I think I forgot to reply to your other comment, but my cell number is still the same.

I suppose, because at least now I have some context for him. But still, I haven't seen that movie, and so am not terribly interested in reading a review of it.

I don't know much of Almodovar's work, either, but I kinda would be happy with anyone but Pakula. Spike Lee would be fantastic, and Ang Lee would also be pretty cool. And obviously I approve of Miyazaki.
