mistressrenet. Oriya/Hisoka, R. Lovely. I adore the language in this story; it's so quiet and understated.
The Earl's Folly by
ranalore. Count Cain, Riff/Cain, NC-17. I barely know this series, but who cares: the hotness transcends canon. The faux-Victorian voice of the narrator is particularly awesome; I aboslutely adored this story.
Palms Out Sounds- a new music blog I'm very fond of. Mostly rap, electronica, and remixes, but very good choices of all of them.
OhMyGosh.se- another music blog, this one also focuses on remixes. Clearly this is what I'm interested in at the moment.
Speaking of that, I actually got an email about a week ago encouraging me to visit some guy's site and review his music, and I don't think it was spam. Dude, clearly I am not actually running a music blog myself, but I am totally amused that I have apparently convinced other people that I am!

springkink is coming up! People volunteer sentences from pieces they've already written here. I, unfortunately, didn't notice until it felt like it was too late to join in, but these are a lot of fun to read. (Also, of course, I've only written one of the prompts I signed up for, and I didn't do that until yesterday.)
And speaking of things I wrote yesterday: Demons'll Charm: Richard, Alec, R. I really should stop posting things at 2am, but this time I have the excuse of needing to slip it in under the deadline at

I'm dying to read this. I mean it's Rana for heaven's sake. But I keep turning away because of my lack of canon knowledge. I keep thinking that I won't be able to truly appreciate its fabulousness without having an inkling of who the characters are and what makes them THEM. You know?! But it's Rana... wth! *heads off to read*

Date: 2007-03-10 02:00 am (UTC)Go read it! I've only read one volume of the manga; I've heard enough people talk about it that I knew the basic characters and settings, but I haven't really read it myself, and I still liked the story very much. I'm sure it's even better if you know who these people are and can pick up on smaller details, but even without that, it's an awesome read.

Date: 2007-03-10 10:48 pm (UTC)I always worry about the etiquette of that, too. You could recommend it with a note that you betaed and so may not be quite objective; I think I've done that before.
