Night's Pavilion

Website Description: A 'Lupercalia' scent (from the '06 collection.).
I worship you like night's pavilion,
O vase of sadness, o great silent one,
And love you more since you escape from me,
And since you seem, my night's sublimity,
To mock me and increase the leagues that lie
Between my arms and blue immensity.

I move to attack, beseige, assail,
Like eager worms after a funeral.
I even love, o beast implacable,
The coldness which makes you more beautiful.
Not the desperation, desolation and anguish of unrequited love, but the distant, chill and pitiless scent of the object of that doomed desire. White musk, osmanthus, Nile lily and frankincense.

In Vial: A sharp scent, sort of like the stalks of freshly cut plants, plus something that smells a bit like lime.

Wet: Very green and fresh, but not light, like the same smell is in Neo-Tokyo, there's something dusty or cold about this smell; it's like mown grass, but less... grass-y. It's hard to describe. But if Neo-Tokyo is bright, happy fresh-cut flowers, this one is scary, nighttime fresh-cut flowers.

Dry: The lime comes back with a vengeance. It's this dry, dusty lime. And cut plants. The scent's definitely appealing (though I don't think I made it sound that way), but it's not a favorite.

Oh, BPAL. A fandom I've definitely not got enough cash for.

By the by, I just got home from seeing "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer." I recommend it highly.
