*blinkblink* When did you write this? How did I miss it? It's really, really beautiful. The amount of detail and precision you put into your writing really overwhelms me - I am so impressed that it's nearly impossible to express. Seriously, though, reading your fic, it's beautiful, it's really quite an experience every time. I ♥ your writing so very, very much. The commentary was also really, really interesting, because I never really think about fic all that deeply, and many of her observations helped me appreciate your story even more than I initially did.

It's such great commentary. It makes me horribly jealous, in the way that seeing people be brilliant in ways my brain doesn't work always makes me horribly jealous.

And now that I've managed to get my commentary in, I can perhaps go back and read it properly and talk about it, and about the story, without intimidation and feelings of guilt getting in the way. Or at least, maybe I can do that once the other, non-LJ deadline gets taken care of.

Ah, but yours is brilliant as well! I've been meaning to comment to it (and to parallactic's as well, who commented on Rana's 'Karmic Ocean Dried Up'), but I was entirely useless for anything involving thought this weekend.

And, of course, I would be fascinated to see what you'd have to say, but I will be polite and pretend that I understand deadlines are more important than my story.

I am not sure that deadlines are more important than your story. More immediately demanding, perhaps, but that's not really synonymous with "important."

But definitions aside, I do want to make sure that doesn't slip away in the way that so many discussions on LJ can, because Dorian saw all sorts of things that I didn't, or that I perceived only subliminally. (I don't mean that in the "no, that's not the way I saw it," way, but in the "wow, and I was too busy drooling to notice any of that" way.) Also, she's absolutely right that your Tsuzuki is distinctive (in fact, I attributed "Memory Loss" to you back at the guessing-game stage based primarily upon that), but I'm not sure I'm pinging off any of the same attributes she picked up. So you can see where I don't want to let this fall off the mental screen until I've had the chance to talk endlessly about it.

You're kind about my commentary, but I can't help but feel that all mine does is repeat lines of the actual story and say, over and over, "See? See what that line says? It says it, right out loud and explicitly, no sophisticated interpretation needed!"
