Website Description: A 'Sin & Salvation' scent. Venerable and solemn: the scent of incense smoke wafting through an ancient church. A true ecclesiastical blend of pure resins.

In Vial: It smells like my dad's cologne. Or what I imagine it would smell like, if my dad wore cologne. I have no idea what that scent is actually from. It's strong, though.

Wet Same. Slightly more woody.

Dry: It turns to smoke! Very cool. I've never smelt a perfume actually change before, and even if I knew to expect it from reading other people's reviews, it's neat to actually experience. It reminds me more of a campfire than incense, though.

Notes: Meh. Not really my thing. Got it as a frimp from telophase though, so no loss!

Cool review. I had been wondering how much Cathedral is like All Saints 2004, which is one of my favorite scents. It's very smoky, like incense, and after a while it smells kind of dusty (which I guess is weird, but I like it). I didn't much like Inferno, though, which has more of a burnt scent.

Hmmm, I'm not sure, because I haven't tried either of those. It's defintely not a burnt scent, but it doesn't much remind me of the incense my church used when I was little, either.

I keep looking for the perfect churchy scent, with incense and something that smells like candle wax beneath it. Haven't found it yet. :) I'm wearing Horn of PLenty and Bordello right now, about 3 hours into it, and the combo had faded down to something really approximating candles, but very subtle, so if I tried to put an incense on top of this, it would overwhelm it. And I don't really want to wear more than one at a time when I'm not testing them. XD

Heh, I can't imagine wanting to smell like a church. I spent way too many years as an altar server.

Hrm. Maybe I'll get an imp of it at some point. All Saints 2004 really smells like "church" to me, which I think is kind of cool and nostalgic. :)

Ooo, the All Saints description sounds gorgeous, but I disliked this one enough that I'm wary of trying another with incense in it.

Well, once I find it, I'll probably not want to wear it, but I'd keep it and sniff it every so often. XD
