I kept wanting to get to the sex, because they would finally stop talking and writing their circumscript, delicate dialogue kills me. But now that I've managed to get there, I remember: smut is really damn hard to write. And Alec doesn't shut up during sex, so I don't even get to escape from the dialogue.
Things that have happened to me in the last day:
The body of my boots have pulled off from the sole. Considering that these are fairly hard-core hiking books, I can't believe they were defeated by city sidewalks. I don't have the time or inclination to go shoe shopping at the moment, so I've duct-taped it back together. Quite the fashionable look.
It is freezing cold, suddenly. Objectively, I think the temperature's in the low 50s, but as far as I am concerned, this weather necessitates a shirt, hoodie, heavy coat and gloves to go outside. Also, if another table does not clear out soon so that I can move away from the door, I am going to kill someone to claim their space.
LJ is only sending me intermittent comments. Is anyone else having a problem?
...I'm certain I had several other things to say, but I can't remember what they were. Which is what happens when I put off writing a post until I hit certain points in the story.
