So, in all my babbling about writing my essay, I somehow managed to convince my roommate to pick up the first volume of YnM and read it. I was telling her, the other day, about how Tsuzuki's characterization is a bit different in the early books, and she says:
"No, no, I like him! He's cool and laid back. He'd be the guy at a party, smoking a joint and going Heeeeeey, what's up?"
XD Hee.
It's actually fairly warm today, mid 60s, which makes me so happy that it's ridiculous. It's overcast, but I don't mind. Every time I come out of a building or class, the ground is wet again, but I have yet to actually witness it raining. The leaves have started to fall. They were falling before- there's been some on the ground for weeks- but now they're *falling*, coming down every time the wind blows, and when you walk underneath a tree they swirl around in red and brown and dull green, rustling and crinkling and catching in your hair. And then there's the trees, just a few, that are so colorful you'd think they could never be natural, that it's just an illusion of the sunlight. But it's real, even though it looks like a manipulated photograph, bright as the afterglow of lightning.
I'm so in love with the world today.
