1. PostSecret: people send in postcards with a secret written on them, once a week a new one is posted. Some are just silly, but others are shocking or lovely or terrible or make you wish desperately that you knew the rest of the story. And appropriately enough, the one up for this week is pretty much exactly the secret I would send in.

2. Most of you have probably already seen this, but I'll spread the word anyway: Terri Shiavo autopsy results.

3. Saiyuki Gaiden scans past the first volume! These are gacked from [livejournal.com profile] andmydog and [livejournal.com profile] psychodragon82, I'm just putting them up again to reduce the strain on their bandwidth.
Chapter 9
Chapter 10
Chapters 11-15
Chapter 16
Chapter 17
CHapter 18

If you downloaded the other Saiyuki scans from me, you'll already have 11-15, but not the others. Because scanlations are confusing and I never quite seem to manage to get them all in the correct order. Any rumors of Gaiden getting licensed yet? I so want to be able to just have the book.

4. [livejournal.com profile] mistressrenet! Have you heard Skullcrusher Mountain by Jonathan Coulton? It would have been perfect for your Mad Scientist fst.

5. Other song links, if anyone is interested (I'm transferring things from one computer to another, and figured that I may as well share):
Elliott Smith - Between the Bars
Laika - Girls Without Hands
Laika - Prairie Dog
Ohia - Farewell Transmission
Maroon 5 - Closer (acoustic cover of the NIN song)
Ladytron - Blue Jeans
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Stop
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Shade of Blue
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Awake
Alkaline Trio - Nose Over Tail
Alkaline Trio - I'm Dying Tomorrow
D. Essex - Take Me to the Top
Koop - Summer Sun

Wow, I'd never heard of PostSecret, but it's so incredibly neat (and a little scary in that too-close-to-home kind of way).

Wheeeee!! *Goes on a downloading spree* Thanks for sharing! Haven't the faintest idea what most of this stuff is, apart from, obviously, D.Essex's "Take me to the top" [It's fast 'n' bouncy Eurobeat from one of the Initial D albums, in case anyone reading this wonders what it is and if they'd want to download it], which you got from me, but I'm always looking for new stuff to squee over!

PS - particularly like Alkaline Trio and Black Rebel Motorcyle Club out of the above selection - thanks again for sharing!

Wheee! More Saiyuki! *downloads*

And music! *_*

I checked through the other files from my previous Saiyuki downloading binge. Like I mentioned before, chapter 13 from vol 3 wouldn't open (thanks again for the fix), and I've found only one other chapter with that problem. Chapter 28 in volume 5 won't open. I think a major reason for these two chapters failing to open is that the chapters were zipped, then the entire volume afterwards. Later volumes have all their chapters perfectly presented. ^_^

Thank you for the presents!

First, I ♥ lists. Yes. So.

1. Hee, thought you'd appreciate.
2. OMG. O_O
5. Snagging a couple, inc. the NIN acoustic cover. Sankyuu.

A friend just sent me the link myself a few days ago, but I adore it. It's so... I don't know. I love it, though.

Thanks! Hee, this was such a crazy mix of songs- whatever I happened to have downloaded in the last few days. But I glad you found some you like! I got the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club from [livejournal.com profile] shoiryu, but I don't remember who put up the Alkaline Trio.

Saiyuki is way too addicting.

Thanks for the heads-up. That should be the last problem; all the scanlations from book 6 on I've read myself. It was just volumes 1-5 that I had to go search out for sharing. I'm trying to get a new copy of that chapter for you, but it shouldn't be a long wait. Too bad I don't have a scanner; I could just put the pages myself.

1. Dude, best site evar!
3. *laughs* That is the weirdest cover. It's so... calm and folky, despite the lyrics.

And ta-da! Volume 5, Chapter 28 (http://s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1SC38E0BCTH7W2PS3JX881XC82).

I swear, at some point I will just learn how to keep all these things in order.
