1. PostSecret: people send in postcards with a secret written on them, once a week a new one is posted. Some are just silly, but others are shocking or lovely or terrible or make you wish desperately that you knew the rest of the story. And appropriately enough, the one up for this week is pretty much exactly the secret I would send in.
2. Most of you have probably already seen this, but I'll spread the word anyway: Terri Shiavo autopsy results.
3. Saiyuki Gaiden scans past the first volume! These are gacked from
andmydog and
psychodragon82, I'm just putting them up again to reduce the strain on their bandwidth.

Chapter 10
Chapters 11-15
Chapter 16
Chapter 17
CHapter 18
If you downloaded the other Saiyuki scans from me, you'll already have 11-15, but not the others. Because scanlations are confusing and I never quite seem to manage to get them all in the correct order. Any rumors of Gaiden getting licensed yet? I so want to be able to just have the book.

mistressrenet! Have you heard Skullcrusher Mountain by Jonathan Coulton? It would have been perfect for your Mad Scientist fst.
5. Other song links, if anyone is interested (I'm transferring things from one computer to another, and figured that I may as well share):

I checked through the other files from my previous Saiyuki downloading binge. Like I mentioned before, chapter 13 from vol 3 wouldn't open (thanks again for the fix), and I've found only one other chapter with that problem. Chapter 28 in volume 5 won't open. I think a major reason for these two chapters failing to open is that the chapters were zipped, then the entire volume afterwards. Later volumes have all their chapters perfectly presented. ^_^
Thank you for the presents!

Date: 2005-06-17 10:08 pm (UTC)Thanks for the heads-up. That should be the last problem; all the scanlations from book 6 on I've read myself. It was just volumes 1-5 that I had to go search out for sharing. I'm trying to get a new copy of that chapter for you, but it shouldn't be a long wait. Too bad I don't have a scanner; I could just put the pages myself.
