Hey, it's official! Yami no Matsuei is coming out in English on August 18. See it here on the Viz website.

Speaking of manga, I finally found a copy of Gravitation 6. I'm liking this series more and more as it goes on; the characters seem to be much less the one-dimensional stereotypes they could be at the beginning. And in the last track of this book, the art suddenly got a lot better. Not that I didn't like it before, but this was really a dramatic improvement. The notes in the back mention that the mangaka got a new assistant, and if that's the change an assistant can make, then wow.

And now I must quote:
A phone conversation.

Yuki: Do you love me? Everything you've said to me before... that was all true, right? You meant it?
Shuichi: How can you...? Of course, I want to see you now... and I've meant it all! You know that!! I love you so much that the mere sound of your voice can almost make me come!!

Awww. That's so, um... sweet. Kinda.

Ooooh shit. Well, kinda. Do we WANT YnM to be licensed by VIZ?(Even if VIZ is pretty decent) :/ I'm not so sure, but hey, whats done is done.
And...I want an assistant ~_~ Or at least to become an assistant

*nods* I know what you mean. I'd prefer Tokyopop, but Viz isn't awful, at least. They did the Utena manga, and I like that. But really, I'm just happy to get it in English, no matter what company it comes from.

And dude, me too. Of couse, I'd make my assistant do stuff like clean my room and cook me dinner instead of draw, but I still want one!
