Watching Monday

Sleepy Hollow
NEW EPISODE TONIGHT YES GOOD. Also, apparently the finale will be two hours!

No. 6
OMG SO GOOD. And turning quite dark at the end. I mean, I suppose a series about a dystopian future with outcasts and an evil government and the promise of a plague (of bees!) started out pretty dark, but I hadn't really felt it until the last few episodes. Which have been AMAZING.
Giant pile of bodies! Crazy journalist guy! Super cute baby for Inu-kashi! Nezumi getting shot! Shion saving him and getting revenge! NEZUMI CRYING OMG!

American Horror Story: Coven
Honestly, at this point I'm only still watching this show because my girlfriend is into it. I continue to not like everything going on with Delphine Lalaurie, but I gave up on that plotline some time ago, I am sad the zombie threesome is already devolving into jealousy, as I wanted them to be

easy A
This is the movie that came out a few years ago, which was sort of vaguely (very vaguely) inspired by The Scarlet Letter, but set in a modern-day California high school. The only way I managed to make it through The Scarlet Letter was by rewarding myself with ten minutes of this movie for each chapter I finished. I like it a lot! It's very cute, in a typical teen-movie way, but quite funny and with intelligent wordplay. And all of the actors were fantastic. Also: great soundtrack.

Ask a Slave
The second season of this awesome web-series is up! All of the episodes are hilarious (the series is about a woman who played a slave on a historical reenactment site, and some of the terrible questions she got from visitors), but S2Ep2, on youtube comments, was particularly appalling/funny.

Ha, no. One episode left! I thought I would finish it over the weekend, but then ended up being busy.

I don't know what happened but I think once I got through 3/4 of The Scarlet Letter in high school, all of the sudden I was really into it and the ending blew me away.

I did like it much more reading it this time than when I read it back in high school. I don't know, I must have been too young for it back then.

oh man. I'm so sorry for the spoilerness in your last post - I legit thought No 6 had eight episodes. I still don't know how many eps it has so like - not saying anything except EEEEK SO GLAD YOU'RE ENJOYING IT.

I'm also thrilled you enjoyed Easy A. Olive is sooooooooooo coooooooooooooooooooooooooooool. I did not really feel the romance with her cute woodchuck although he's really endearing; I keep craving an epic followup fic where she gets together with someone who is just as grand as she is.

ALSO SEASON 2 OF ASK A SLAVE IS OUT??!? BRB WATCHING.

Oh, no worries! I had pretty much figured out that twist already anyway, between the ~magic song~ foreshadowing and having read your and Alina's fic. It has 11 episodes, so I've just got one left!

OLIVE IS SO GREAT. Though yeah, Todd did not stand out that much to me. I kept getting him confused with the other similar-looking generic dudes in the plot (which particularly made the scene of her date at the Lobster Shack confusing, since I thought it was with Todd until he showed up on the other side of the restaurant). But then, I tend to have trouble recognizing similar-looking actors anyway.
