Books!

The St Agnes Library was having another book sale over the weekend; although I was alternately too busy and had forgotten about it the first two days, I made it up there on Sunday. I bought:

The Late Romances, Shakespeare (Pericles, Cymbeline, The Winter's Tale, The Tempest)
Master and Commander Patrick O'Brian
Coram Boy Jamila Gavin
Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story Christopher Moore
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead Tom Stoppard
The Awakening and Selected Short Fiction Kate Chopin
Washington Square Henry James
Morality for Beautiful Girls Alexander McCall Smith
The Plot Against America Philip Roth
Pope Joan Donna Woolfolk Cross
A Conspiracy of Paper David Liss
The Scarlet Pimpernel Baroness Emmuska Orczy
The Nanny Diaries Emma McLaughlin & Nicola Kraus

For $17. I am very pleased.

Hi, not entirely random person here.
You have to read The Privilege of the Sword next.
Then read Fall of the Kings.

They were published in the opposite order, but you'll go insane if you read them that way.

I do already have hers! Though I saw someone buying a copy of The Privilege of the Sword and was very amused.

Random House has TPotS as an ebook (http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780553902839), as does ebooks.palm (http://ebooks.palm.com/author/detail/13055), but her others unfortunately don't seem to be available.

And hee. Rachel is right: I do talk about Swordspoint and Ellen Kushner's other books fairly often. If you like her, by the way, you might join the fandom community [livejournal.com profile] _riverside, or Ellen has a livejournal herself at [livejournal.com profile] ellen_kushner.
