A meme that I absolutely adore the idea of: you know yousendit.com? Well, send me a file! Music, video, pictures... anything you think I might like.
This computer didn't come with Word on it. How weird is that? I've got a copy of it now (thanks to
minakochan!), but this morning, when I was trying to find Word so I could write, it just didn't exist. I even went searching through the Program Files, convinced it had to be somewhere. Way bizarre.
I went grocery shopping today for the first time. Well, not the first time ever, obviously, but for the first time when I was living away from the family and was planning on cooking for myself rather than eating in cafeterias. That was a lot of fun, actually, although lugging bags of groceries around on the city buses was not nearly as exciting. I love the grocery store here; it has so much stuff. An entire aisle of organic and vegetarian food, along with another entire aisle of ethnic foods. They even sell sushi! I only bought veggie sushi, because I wasn't sure how long the fish would stay fresh, but it was still cool.
As I was putting away the food, one of my other roommates happened to be in the kitchen, and we were standing around talking, so I squeed at her about the sushi. She looked surprised, and then asked if I needed to cook it. I'm guessing she's not a fan.
I like cooking for myself, though. I actually enjoy it, especially when everything turns out right and it tastes good.
