In which I say Happy Birthday. And then whine.

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] kohakutenshi!

Me: *writes several paragraphs*
*goes back to reread*
*sighs and deletes them all*
Me: Okay, we need to have a talk. Listen to this: "Hisoka tilts his head and kisses him. The man lifts one hand, slowly, and cups Hisoka's face, his fingers curling around to his hair. His thumb traces over Hisoka's cheekbone in an infinitely gentle movement, and Hisoka shivers, inching forward to seat himself in the man's lap." What is up with that?
Hisoka: I don't see anything wrong with it.
Me: It's supposed to be *HATESEX*!
Hisoka: ...Are you sure?
Me: Uh, yeah.
Hisoka: You've got to be wrong. It's Tsuzuki. I can't have hatesex with him.
Me: This is an AU. You don't know him. You're not in love with him. Right now, the only thing you feel towards him is a whole bunch of anger.
Hisoka: I don't want to do this.
Me: It's not that hard. Just pretend that you're not sickeningly in love with him.
Hisoka: I'm not sicke-
Me: You're fooling no one.
Hisoka: Shut up.
Me: Look, you only have to do it once, I promise. Every other sex scene for the entire rest of the fic, you can be as nice and sweet as you want.
Hisoka: Fine. If it means that much to you.
Me: Except for the time when you cheat on him.
Hisoka: WHAT?
Me: I've, uh... got to go.

In other words, the characters are being frustrating, the writing is going insanely slow, it hasn't stopped raining in twenty-four hours, and the soup I cooked for dinner was really yucky. Wah. The universe conspires against me.

*weeps* I know! I'm completely incapable of writing a Hisoka who's not utterly in love with Tsuzuki. The curse of an OTP, man.

And wow, nine whole months? It must look like a desert around you.

It rains roughly biannually where my college is in Southern California (vegetation is watered on a regular basis, but it's not quite the same as having the water coming from the sky and all), and my one month at home this summer is during a dry spell. I'm getting nostalgic about mold. ;_;

Ouch. I'm not all that enthuastic about rain, but getting it that rarely would make even me long for it.
