There's now a YnM drabble challenge community: [livejournal.com profile] fuda_100. Yay! I've been waiting for one of these! (I guess, in retrospect, I could have just started my own... but now I get new and exciting challenges! *squees*)

Two YnM fic recs:
only on a true return will you find that you've never left by [livejournal.com profile] holographis. Tsuzuki/Touda, Hisoka/Tsuzuki, hints of others. So very, very good.
Abakareta Sekai by [livejournal.com profile] penelope_z. This was rec'd on [livejournal.com profile] crack_van today, but I'd never seen it before, so I figured other people might not have either. An incredibly creepy, gory, GOOD take on Muraki. I adored it.

Also, I made a mix tape today, and because I'm just that bored, I'll list the songs for all of you. And, well, I really like all of them and you should listen to the too.

1. "Playgirl", Ladytron
2. "Beds Are Burning (Radio Edit)", Novaspace
3. "Darts of Pleasure (Home Demo)", Franz Ferdinand

I guess, in retrospect, I could have just started my own...

You know that Radiohead song “Anyone Can Play Guitar”? Cool lyrics, anyone can play guitar and they won’t be a nothing anymore… I kinda feel it’s that way with fandom. Anyone can be a website or list mommy and they won’t be a nothing anymore.

*grins* Yeah, yeah, I know- and if you want something done, do it yourself. And all the more power to you for making the community- I'm not complaining that you did it before I could. After all, this way I can be lazy and not have to come up with a challenge every week. Besides, I think I like striving to be more than a nothing by writing. Feedback warms my soul.

I think the reason I never went ahead and did it myself was that I didn't think the fandom was big enough to support such a community. I mean, the buffyverse one (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=b_a_improv) only has 88 members and it's a huge fandom. I was afraid of starting the community and then ending up with myself as the only member. But you've already got a good number of members, proving that obviously I am way too pessimistic.
